No, it is not. Park Rangers can write a ticket or arrest you for just about anything from murder on down to using the wrong minnow. And yes those bands attract the wrong kind of people. Like me.

As well as no-seatbelt in a 25mph area, and letting a person ride on the tailgate between the high bank hole and the park store at Bennett.....personal experience there (87.00 + 10.00)

I'm still amazed that guys get away with having a beer there.

Us clean-cut folks don't seem to have all those troubles, wrench. :D

Yeah I must have that whole "I'm hiding a meth lab" look going on. Lawmen see me and immediately go all Rodney King on my @ss for some reason.

I'm sure my smartass attitude has nothing to do with it.

Nah that wasn't really polishing a turd, just shooing away the flies, had I been polishing it, by now you would be writing your congressman demanding to know why they property hadn't been seized before and given to the DNR instead of sold to them. :yuush: Guess I don't feel sorry for the original owner for turning it into a druggie mecca, personally glad to see it in state instead of federal ownership, and glad it not going to turn into a "dogwood Canyon" either.

Dope gets sold at the Plaza in KC too.....Seize that bitch and turn it into a trap range / sporting clays park.

Lets see, what could we do with Columbia college while we're at it....

However it was acquired, that's an awfully cool area and I'm looking forward to using it as soon as its available to the public. Very good news, as far as I'm concerned. I do wish the circumstances were different, but that's in the past.

The feds confiscated it. MODNR bought it from them. Can't blame MODNR, unless you believe they've been colluding with the feds all along and just waiting for the feds to get the chance to take the property. I'm happy it's in public ownership, no matter how it happened.

That's right and what I read was the DNR was high bidder. I.E. it was put up for sale and they had the high bid, Beyond this I'll wait to see what they do with it before I jump to conclusions, I'm getting old and jumping to conclusions is getting be too much exercise for me.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
