Old plug Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. They do not need to know about grays and variations of grays.
*T* Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Talkin' 'bout smoke colored baits, finally picked up multiple bags of smoke/copper flake 5" XPS grubs. Color some of you have mentioned earlier this year. They look good. Now just gotta find/make room in my grub box to store these. And need to get them wet. Maybe Bull Shoals in next week or two. Terrierman Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 If I had just one color on Table Rock on moving baits such as grubs, swim baits, swimmin' minnows, spinner baits and the like it would be some variant of a smoke color (which Mouse is). What color is a shad?
Old plug Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 A good example of shad is PBS stic o worm in what they call frost. Do not rush down to buy any though because I bought all of those on floor in the 5 3/8 size last week.
fishinwrench Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 What color is a shad? Black, white, brown, gray, silver, gold, purple, and blue.
Old plug Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Purple, Blue. Yeah they all work. But there is something about gray in the fall when they are ambushing shad from. Under the dock corners. I think it draws strikes better. Wrench sounds a bit testy today. The cold weather has gotten to him. are you going down and watch them blow up em blow up the old Hurricane deck bridge tomorrow at 9:30 Wrench?????
fishinwrench Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Nah, I'll just watch it on youtube. I'm sure there'll be a race to see who can be the first to upload videos of it. I did get to work on the Optimax powered barge that helped place the explosives though.....so I got to have a hand in the building of the new bridge, and the destruction of the old
Jerry Rapp Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 why was a new bridge needed? There many bridges on more major transportation arteries that need replacing more than that bridge? Just wondering?
Old plug Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Ask the state jerry. They are doing a lot of work on hwy 5 besides that bridge. That is the lakes west side. It is going to explode in growth. The westside is a pretty progressive place.
fishinwrench Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 why was a new bridge needed? There many bridges on more major transportation arteries that need replacing more than that bridge? Just wondering? Well I'm glad they did. The guard rails and the supporting structure for the railing was looking REALLY sketchy, and the inspection from underneath turned up some serious unrepairable wear/tear. Hanging out with the American bridge crew some was an eye-opener for me. There's alot to know when it comes to bridges....more than I ever imagined. They truly are genuine marvels of engineering that you don't think much about as you drive across them glancing right/left at the fishing holes below.
