This was sent to me from a buddy that lives about 6 miles west of me on Crowleys Ridge, which is a narrow band of hills that run through the north Delta in AR. This was taken from a friend of his Deer Cam close to his home. Not a bad pic, don't think there any denying it's a Cat!

I'm with you on the tail, but maybe it's a distortion of size in the photo, but it looks a lot bigger than a house cat? If you look the camera is shooting through a fence row, you can see the old fence, usually those stand at least waist high or taller..

I'm going with house cat primarily because of the ears. those aren't cougar ears. I also "think" is see stripes. If it is a big cat he certainly well fed also, those are healthy thighs for cougar.

I would bet Bobcat, Size computability is hard but looks like the cat is riding low to the ground, it does appear to have a modeled appearance that lends to a Bob plus the over fluffed tail in damp conditions lead me to lean Bob I also blew up the pic and raised contrast and the ears look like they have tuffs on the ends another trait to Bobs.

Cool pic.

I would hate for that to happen to me. They obviously aren't as foxy as people think.
