Dewayne French
Champ has it down that's about the best the advise I have ever seen listed. These guys on the Table Rock page are the best in the NATION PERIOD! These guys are simply unbelievable in there honest opinions and advise. I have been lucky enough to travel around and fish in a lot of places (you notice I didn't say catching) and until you develop the attitude that your not fishing against the other people its the Little Green Fish with brain the size of a sweet pea that's when I started learning more. FISH can't reason and we reason to much they live by instinct. We also want to beat other people to much catch more than ole so and so. . Time on the water and Attitude is my only 2 cents to add for what it's wotrh
Champ188
Good stuff, Dewayne. Good to see you here. This is a great forum indeed and having guys like you contribute only makes it better. Donna and I are staying with Basil and Nancy tomorrow night at Harpers Valley. I've seen you there before, I believe. Good people. It's the only place we'll stay anymore. Dewayne French
Yup that's the place to stay it used to be kinda off the radar but its usually packed on touny weekends now. Still a good spot if you can get it. If I was free I would be there to sling a lure as well. Last time it was hotter than heck. Good luck and enjoy
Feathers and Fins
And when it's being swung over a gunnel the fish can sense that it is HIM that's having a bad day. And when its hanging over the gunnel ------------oh better not kid friendly board. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

And when you hook a 47 lb striper and your rod takes on the shape of the gunnel you might be having a bad day. dtrs5kprs
Learn the Ned Rig...works in all the places and situations Champ addressed, for anyone in the boat, and in all seasons. Simple, cheap, works. Kind of like Colt 45. Or so Billy Dee says.

dtrs5kprs
Yea, this rig is hard to beat. I guess this will replace the April grub bite at TR Well let's not get carried away... Grub is a harder deal to figure out at times, especially if you are starting out. Swimming or scrubbing the grub is "simple-ish" vs. the Ned Rig's simple. I'll still have 20 pounds of smoke single tails in the boat.

dtrs5kprs
20 pounds?? Easily. 4" & 5" in Chompers, GYCB, Zoom, a few generics I am partial to, Power Team, etc. Smoke S&P, plain smoke for high skies, smoke/red flake, smoke silver flake, smoke purple, infamous BPS smoke/red/copper. Add in pearl white, and a few greens for swimming around beds and the scale starts to groan. It's a big boat and I am a complete tackle addict, non-recovering.
