Sprint21fter Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Greg Bohannan pushes the PB&J colored wart. When the wart bite is going and the word is "phantom green" or "phantom brown" I catch better fish on anything brown without the phantom look. Look for a slightly different water color change from clear to green and throw them suckers around all kinds of rock changes and see how many fish bite. By the end of the day you will have a good bag of fish. Its never easy but if you hit 50 spots in a day you will catch them. Some people will catch them on the "phantom" colors, I have my share of the "phantoms" but I tend to do better with the solid color patterns with brown in them.
Champ188 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 At this point, with the discussion of reproducing Warts on 3D printers and all such as that, I'm declaring this to have reached Frankenthread status. And that's some rare air.

And that's some rare air. We can pool our money and start printing old wiggle warts! next thing you know, OAF will have to IPO on the penny stock market! LOL

And that's some rare air. Somebody call the fire department this one's out of control. But seriously this thread is about the most die hard wiggle wart thread ever in the history the internet that Al Gore was so kind to invent. To bad he can't restore global warming because this cold just flat out sucks. It's pretty pathetic when you watch the news and see the weather forecast and they are calling for low 40's temperatures and you get excited. If you read this entire thread and aren't a wiggle wart expert by now you have a problem.
troutgnat Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Who's a diehard Wiggle Wart fan??? I'll start..............I AM!, I AM! Darren Sadler "Fishing is an Education...Often the fish 'school' me, yet I do not complain. I just keep going to class!"
balsabee Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 3d printing....now that's an idea! I have access to one of those and may actually have my own by the end of the year. Not sure about durability...mainly used for prototyping.
troutgnat Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Here's some of my own personal repaints that I rely on in my wart box. Darren Sadler "Fishing is an Education...Often the fish 'school' me, yet I do not complain. I just keep going to class!"
Jerry Rapp Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 ok, wiggle warts catch fish sometimes. I have a few pets, caught several good fish on them over the last few years on Clearwater. But I never read about consistent wins with Warts. Why the fascination with them?
Alex Heitman Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Those are great troutgnat. Wish I had the time to paint. Chiropractic school doesn't allow for it though. It would be a lot of fun. My dad is retiring next year and I'm trying to get him to take up the hobby.
Alex Heitman Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Jerry I think a lot of tournaments are won on the white river chain of lakes on them I also think people may be reluctant to say EXACTLY what they caught them on.
