Ham Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 A friend on Facebook is having a get together where a bunch of club tourney guys and general fishing fanatics fill up a local Warehouse. The idea is that you bring in your excess tackle to swap or sell. That way you can see stuff in person and make an informed decision about the product and there is NO shipping and handling to worry with. I love the idea, but I'm not driving to Indiana to participate. Maybe we could have an event like that somewhere "local". I'm sure I have extras that I could trade off or sell. I for darn sure have some fishing rods that I'd love to sell for a low price to get them out from under my feet and have someone get use out of them. It MAY be too late for this idea this year, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any interest in the idea. Heck, this may already happen around here and I just haven't heard about it yet. What do y''all think about this idea? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

What do y''all think about this idea? Definitely not the worst idea. One of he big IA shows started more or less that way, as a club swap and sell day.
countryred Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Sounds cool. We go to a few flea markets up here and find tackle once in a while.
Quillback Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I like the idea, just don't know if I'd be up for driving a couple of hours to attend.
Ham Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 How far are you from Springfield Jeff? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
gotmuddy Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I am game. How about we have one next time we have a get together. That table in the cabin was plenty big, lol everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Quillback Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 How far are you from Springfield Jeff? About 2 hours.

I think you mean this one: http://www.midiowabassmasters.org/ I'll be there this year again. Been each of the last 3 years. I spend more money every year. Then again- I'm in Des Moines.... I'm on this board because I'm looking at buying a lakehouse in the near future.
grizwilson Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Throw this out there, I have done fly tying demos at this show in the past, usually end up taking more stuff home than I swap or sell: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hunt-Fish-Swap/143768619004074 It is for a good cause. g “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
