Champ188 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Epic failure. At least I tried. LOL, gonna need a bigger tackle room soon. I'm gonna have to add more pegboard to the garage myself.

fishingaddiction Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Yea I would have bought a Lew's tournament spinning reel, but they only had the 1000 size. I have one of the 2000 models, and it is so much better than the other version they made. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

Picked up two more of the Tmt Speed Spools. Had a place on ebay where I could find them cheaper last winter, but not so far this year. Took a lot of patience though, waiting and losing on auctions before finally hitting one right.

I would have gotten the 2000 or the next larger, but I had no interest in the 1000 size. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Quillback Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 You guys like the Lew's spinning reels? I haven't heard much about them.

fishingaddiction Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Bought the lew's 2000 spinning reel about a month ago, but haven't been able to use it much. The reel seems very smooth, light, good bearing count, and a lube port. Paired it with a lew's 7' ML SL rod, seems like a good set up. Hopefully they are as good as the lew's bait caster. Just another heads up for the guys wanting to gear up. Dave please control yourself. http://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/brands/Lew's
abkeenan Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 I will also add that anyone interested in the Daiwa Tatula they have them for 109.99 compared to 149.99 everywhere else including Tackle Warehouse. The reel has gotten great reviews and I handled one at BPS about a month ago and it felt really good and solid, similar to my E7 Curado. http://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/daiwa-tatula-baitcasting-fishing-reel/
