rps Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Nancy and I are planning our first ever 4th of July party at school. Today is the 14th school day lost to snow so far this year. The remainder of the week is looking iffy.
Feathers and Fins Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Its an Ice rink outside now, insane amount of sleet and freezing rain mixed in with it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Old plug Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Nopthing up here at LOZ yet but looking at the weather we have not escaped yet. You folks down there at Table Rock are experiencing what sounds like a lot of them in I went through in St Louis. With the freezing rain and sleet on top of the snow it is going to wind up a full blown mess. Wonder what this continued cold and heavy show fall is doing to your Thread fin shad down there. the next few days it is going tone brutal. Maybe the seasonal springs will return enough water from the snow and rain you have been having to deep in the lake and that will keep the little devils alive.
Feathers and Fins Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 OP, Massive die-off is whats happening started last weekend. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Al Agnew Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Forecast now is for -18 in Livingston tonight! The high today was a balmy zero, and tomorrow it will be -1. Last night it was around -8, and this morning the smaller side channel of the Yellowstone in front of the house finally froze all the way across. Right now with the sun getting low, it's -3, and there's slush ice on the surface of the flowing parts of the river. Next week, when we'll be back in MO, it's supposed to be highs in the 40s here. Dang it, I really wanted to fish Depuy's Spring Creek while we were here, but I ain't fishing when the temp's not supposed to get above freezing all day.
