ness Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Pretty cool -- that guide had only one thing on his mind. Getting her back in the water. John
Mitch f Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Pretty cool -- that guide had only one thing on his mind. Getting her back in the water. Yep, but in the winter it's less of a worry. In the summer, I snap a couple of shots and get them back in ASAP.......not that I donkey around with them in the winter but I have caught walleye on January at the Blakley Dam in Hot Springs and intended on bringing them it home to eat. Thirty minutes later we decided to go out to eat and my buddy released the fish and it swam away. No joke. But it was probably 30 degrees or so. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
joeD Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Ice fishing in the middle of nowhere in the middle of winter. Yet. It was recorded. Hmm.
West Fork Jason Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Ice fishing in the middle of nowhere in the middle of winter. Yet. It was recorded. Hmm. I think i heard him say Milwaukee Harbor. http://www.WestForkJason.com
ColdWaterFshr Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Sure doesn't look like a world record to me. Nice fish for sure, but world record??
Lancer09 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Sure doesn't look like a world record to me. Nice fish for sure, but world record?? Probably a length world record. Not necessarily weight.
laker67 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Probably a length world record. Not necessarily weight.A very nice fish indeed, a catch we would all like to have. I have to agree with CWF, and disagree with you. A seaforellen brown is long and lean unlike a New Zealand pellet fed fish. This Milwaukee fish would have to be around 44 inches long to be around 42 lbs. 43.75inch is the previous world record. Missouri fish can attain this 39 inch length, and we have a 38.5 on record. My best guess would be around 28 to 30 lbs for the fish in the video.
