Lovely, 1/2 inch of ice and 4 to 8 inches of snow coming along with minus 10 wind chills for the next 48 hours.

Bored today and the temps were 50. Bees were flying pretty good, even though it was cloudy. Decided to move some Iris bulbs from one bed to a new one. Started digging and run into solid ice about 1/2 inch down. Hard as a rock.

I did manage to dry and thaw out a couple of raised beds with glass covers. I planted snow peas and lettuce today. I wonder how long till germination.

Could be a while for germination as cold as it is. I usually start peas mid-March, and lettuce gets started indoors.

Glad to hear your bees are doing ok.

I think I'll do some snow peas myself this spring. Ground is workable here, just need this cold front to get out. Not much precip so far this morning, but cold and windy. Supposed to get ice/sleet/snow later in the day.

I have not had a dillo ip here for sire yet. we are not as over run with them as you are. I got a 410 pump that I use slugs in for them. If they start they are pretty easy to shoot under yard light.

Inch or more of sleet in a thunderstorm this morning. Changing over to something that freezes and splatters now, 20 degrees.

I woke up too what appears to be a very small amount of ice with <1/4" of sleet on top. I haven't had anything since I got up, about 6 AM.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
