Lifes2Short Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Out of Roark about 7:00 and greeted with heavy fog. Had to piddle around the launch ramp area until the fog lifted, ended up with our first 3 keepers. Ran up the river stopping along the way to fish some secondary points, chanel-swing banks, and main lake points. Out of our first 15 fish only one was short, out of the 45 we caught yesterday less than 10 were short. Best 5 would have gone about 19#s, 7.2 kicker. Blubird skies, mid 50's air temp, light south wind, water temps from 48 to 55. Fish caught on blades, hogs, warts, and jerkbait. Back off the water about 6:00, mid part of the day from noon to 4 was pretty darn slow. Did not really find any fish in the back end of the coves but should be soon. Good to meet you today Denjac. Tight Lines!
