DChance
found about 100 so far. I am pretty sure it is safe to say they are growing well in many places this year. Most of mine have been under elms, but found a few under cedars, some under oaks, some in the middle of nowhere in the woods.
Ranger520vx
Only found 27 today but starting to find the big yellow ones instead of the little grey ones.
darbwa
This is my first year hunting Morels. I was finding them in here in Tulsa the last 2 weeks but have not been able to find any this week. Do you think it is over for the season? How long do they keep coming up?
Ranger520vx
Since you are about 150 miles south West of me I'm not really sure darbwa up here with the up coming warm weather I think we will have another good week or so. I found 90 yesterday most of them were pretty fresh.
darbwa
I found a couple yesterday after work that were all died and shriveled. I'm just not sure if that means my season down here is over or if others might come up later.
DChance
I think we are hitting the end of the season. I would say the more south you are the closer to the end it is. Here in Phelps I am thinking this weekend might be the last hurrah.
jdmidwest
I have been out twice this week and found some dried out rotten yellow ones. I think I was several days late looking for the ones that I have found. This cold spell after the rain did a number on them.
