coming down 2nd week of august. staying across from little cow creek.

we will be on a toon so not going very far. any advice on what to fish for and how?

I'd put the toon in Taneycomo and catch trout.

August will be a tough time to fish from a pontoon. Maybe just drifting bait on some gravel flats, with a spoon or grub tied on for schooling fish that might pop up. The deep fish available then will be tough with the boat control challenges of a pontoon.

I've seen some people have success trolling out of a toon. Don't know if that is your style of fishing as it isn't mine but is can be effective.

I would suggest the 9 TO 5 shift. That's 9:00 PM TO 5:00 AM eliminates all the morons, well at least 98% of them.
