Friday was a really good day for this old man in several ways: (1) I got to take a day off work and go fishing and (2) the fish bit really good. But (3) far outweighed either --- I had the distinct pleasure of entertaining forum member Ranger185 in my boat for a day on our wonderful lake.

Things started out a bit slow but heated up quickly as the sun rose and began to warm the waters. As it has repeatedly over the past few weeks, the shaky head (3/16 with a green pumpkin candy finesse worm) was our top producer. Nearly all of our fish were on gravel/chunk rock points, and many were keeper spots. In fact, of our 40 fish, 25-30 were keepers. We did have 3-4 largemouths and a couple of small brown ones. Also had a keeper meanmouth to complete the Table Rock Slam.

Here's Ranger185 with one of our better K's.

Think I have seen more pics of OAF'ers sharing a boat this spring than in any other year. Know I fished with three, and met several more. Just an extraordinary group of people here.

Thank you again James..!... What a awesome day we had . Of course it's great to get on a bunch like we did, but best of all the company and story telling was top notch. I'm grateful for your willingness to share your knowledge with me... Lets do it again soon...
