It doesn't make a difference between the new and the old ones. Deflection and stop/go retrieves is the key to wiggle wartin. Depending upon water temp: Colder water 45 degrees or less retrieve will be slower, above 45 steady to really banging the wart will get bites.

I'm not sure there's a more "tired" subject on the forum than old warts vs. new warts. Makes me want to wrap my head in duct tape so it doesn't explode.

I just never throw one anymore. With the kids in sports, I can't get down when it is cold enough for them.

Stickbait colors would have to go on that exploding noggin list also.

I started throwing a Strike King 3XD a bit this spring, I'm not making any claims that it's better than a Wart, but it's a good bait to try when the Wart bite is on. Sure would like it if SK would copy some of the Wart colors like Ghost Green/Brown craw and that V-38.
