Sprint21fter Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 It doesn't make a difference between the new and the old ones. Deflection and stop/go retrieves is the key to wiggle wartin. Depending upon water temp: Colder water 45 degrees or less retrieve will be slower, above 45 steady to really banging the wart will get bites.
dtrs5kprs Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I'm not sure there's a more "tired" subject on the forum than old warts vs. new warts. Makes me want to wrap my head in duct tape so it doesn't explode. I just never throw one anymore. With the kids in sports, I can't get down when it is cold enough for them. Stickbait colors would have to go on that exploding noggin list also.
Quillback Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I started throwing a Strike King 3XD a bit this spring, I'm not making any claims that it's better than a Wart, but it's a good bait to try when the Wart bite is on. Sure would like it if SK would copy some of the Wart colors like Ghost Green/Brown craw and that V-38.
Sac River Jim Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 sorry champ i didn't want ya to have to break out the duct tape. anyhows if i spent the money to get them painted i'd probly be afraid i'd lose them lmbo!!!
