Looking at the radar, the front that's about to move through stretches from Minnesota down into Mexico. Unusual to see one that long north to south.

Anniversary of the May 8th 2009 windstorm

that one really tore up my neck of the woods, plus our fence, topper on the truck, and a zillion trees uprooted. There are still visible signs of it.

I guess that front did the Tonganoxie split and missed us. We only got a few sprinkles

The fish are still biting, we just caught lot's of goggle eye, LM, green sunfish, and one smallmouth out of the White in West Fork. We really kinda did need this rain to wash away some of this pollen build up though.

F and F - So the rain is good for a topwater bite?

1.66'' In my gauge... If I wasn't so tired I would go fishing I know they would be biting surface tonight.

AND THEY WERE FOR A FACT I went out at 6pm and in two hours I landed 7. Missed more strikes than I care to admit. The new topwater lure I designed was a hit. I need to do some adjustments and I might have a winner. going out again in the am If the weather permits. My old honey hole did not let me down.
