Every time I think about a song getting stuck in my head, I think of 'Tight Pants' and it starts all over. Like right now.

My personal favorite is "for all intensive purposes"

Oh yeah, and a guy I used to work with at McDonnell Douglas said he hired on because McDonnell had good "French" benefits. Think about that on your next airline flight :)

Lot's of phrases that are simply overused, though not wrong. A few that drive me nuts:

"On a daily basis"--just say "daily", or "every day".

"At the end of the day"--ugh.

Then there's the overused boardroom talk. Like "Level Set", "Circle the Wagons", " Overarching Initiative", "ASAP"........that one really gets me.

"Paradigm Shift" , to mention a few.

I also have a buddy that says "Typically" so many times in a presentation, some people actually started counting and making bets.

Phrases that get me.

I'm mad as Hell

I heard it on the news first

I did not have sexual relations with that girl

I did not inhale

I'm looking into it

And the winner

I'M FIXXIN TOO! <-------Also known to my boys after uttering it as "How to get a butt whoopin by dad"! Because if they said they got it.

It drives me crazy hearing someone say "It is what it is" to declare that something is final or cannot be changed.

I have a buddy from Salem, MO that starts off a lot of his sentences with "Like I say". We like to keep count and joke about it later on. My fiance works with a nurse who is also from Salem and apparently she says that phrase a lot too. :have-a-nice-day:
