jeb Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Also very sorry to hear about this. He seems a great guy, and an inspiration to me. Wishing him a full recovery. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
magicwormman Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So sorry to hear about Stacey. He is a first class gentleman and one of the finest guys I've ever known. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Stacey. God will help you whip this.
Champ188 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Not to veer off target here much but Champ you and your wife both had kidney cancer? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Not a stupid question, 5bites, but yes, both of us had renal cell carcinoma within less than 2 years of each other. Donna was first 5 years ago and ended up having a radical nephrectomy (they took an entire kidney); mine came later and resulted in a partial nephrectomy (they removed a portion of my left kidney). Both of us are now cancer-free, thanks in part to the prayers of many, many friends, including a bunch right here on this forum. It's a privilege and a blessing to have my health back and be able to pray for the healing of others.
5bites Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Wow that is amazing. Very glad to hear things are on track now. I bet you guys are closer than ever now going through that. As hard headed as we are it can take things like this to show Gods glory. Our pastor has beat cancer twice in about a 5yr time. The good that came through it though was amazing. My hope is Mr. King can come away with the same kind of story.
pstone Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 We will also be praying for Stacey and his family-the power of prayer is real!

And yes, nothing brings a couple closer than going thru a valley like this but I don't recommend it as a relationship-building tool.
Sprint21fter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Prayers are going out. Sadly, cancer knows no names but it seems like it comes to good people.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Sadly, cancer knows no names but it seems like it comes to good people. THAT'S THE TRUTH!! I can't even begin to count the times that i have wished to have cancer instead of my grandma
