rainbow Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 of being retired and it sure feels strange not going to work. I guess I will just have to get used to it. The boss just came in the room and said we are having a garden weeding party this morning. So much for not working. Can't wait for my next trip to Taneycomo.
5bites Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Wow congrats! That day will likely never come my way so I envy you. I hope you have a great retirement!

Old plug Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 It will be that way for awhile. I did not like the place I worked but after I retired I sortof had withdrawal over it. One thing is keep yourself in shape As years go by your going to need that strength.

moguy1973 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Your new boss seems like quite the slave driver! LOL -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Mitch f Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Your new boss seems like quite the slave driver! LOL I always think of a story when my brother was first married. They got back from their honeymoon and she handed him a "List" of honey do's. He took the list and ripped it in half from top to bottom and said "Here's what I think of your list" .....off to a good start! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

I thought you were gonna say "He ripped it in half and asked her which half she wanted HIM to do". An acquaintance of mine agreed to pay for a 9k boob job for his bride. Then during the divorce settlement (7 months later) wanted to know which one (right or left) he going to be awarded. Seemed like a fair question to Me.
jdmidwest Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Nice thing about being retired, you can weed the garden in the cool morning instead of the heat of the afternoon like the peasants that have to work do. Seemed like a fair question to Me. She wanted 9k for boobs? I would ask her to buy her own! I would say huge red flag. But he's lucky she only ruined his life for 7 months.
