Pepe Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I was only a few days away from heading to the lake for a week. This occasional pain I was having in my lower abdomen suddenly became severe and unrelenting. ER visit revealed a nasty hernia that needs surgery. Not sure how long this will set me back but I won't be taking good health for granted anymore. I will be fishing vicariously for a bit and look forward to your reports.
Champ188 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Dang, hate to hear that. Will certainly say a prayer for your successful surgery and speedy recovery.
Quillback Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Sorry to hear that, best wishes on a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!
Bill Babler Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Best of wishes. You take care, you all got the best out of them for this Spring. Let the heat of the Summer get by and get yourself back together and they will be waiting for you in the Fall with mouths open and tails waggin. Terrierman Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Sorry to hear that. One piece of advice. Be sure to find out which doctor at the hospital you are using does the most hernia repairs and use him.
Mitch f Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Wow, a friend just went thru that...extremely painful! Prayers are with you Mike "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Members AAD Posted June 13, 2014 Members Posted June 13, 2014 Sorry to hear that. My brother had same thing last fall. He missed a few days duck hunting but was back at it in a week or so. But he did refrain from blowing on his call too hard. Best of luck on the surgery. Maybe they can use a little 2lb fluoro to keep that mesh in place
