dtrs5kprs Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Quick report for the last two days. Basically more of the same, give or take spending a big chunk of yesterday in a dock. Still catching them 5'-20' on the little rig, mostly on gravel or small rock back in the creeks. Also catching a few on a big shakey head with the full zinkerz, and a split shot with a hand poured gp/orange fish doc in the same areas. Squeaked out 3 keepers and maybe 25 yesterday, when safe to fish. Today we finished at about 1030 with 5 keepers, and around 30 fish total. No obviously key time. Caught them when we started, and were catching them when we quit. Two of the keepers were 18" brownies caught by my Net Monkey, one on the Ned, one on the split shot. Seeing more shad, and fish are starting to spit more shad. Still some with craws coming aboard. Temps were pushing 78 when we quit. Water has some color, but is basically clear. Lot of little junk floating after the rain, hopefully it stays little.

dtrs5kprs Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 Handsome net monkey you got there. Mine's bigger. And bossier. And a WHOLE lot older. Hope that is an RC, not a megabass. Will be easier to get the hooks out when she throws it at you.
Sac River Jim Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Champ Donna's going to take you to school next time you get on the water lol!!!!!!
Champ188 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Won't be the first time, Jim. Far from it. And yes, Dave. That's an RC. Their quality isn't as consistent as a MB but at 1/3 the cost, I can afford to throw one in the trash and grab a new one. The ones that work right wil catch em just as good as the MB, in my opinion.
fishingaddiction Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Good lookin smallie by the Net Monkey. Sounds like you had a great week with the family Dave, and some good fishing as well. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
