5bites Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I think we should just go ahead and take out all of the crappie, catfish, whites, walleye, and everything else that could eat bass forage. Its all about the bass right? Can we agree to do this at grand?
denjac Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Can we include drum on the eradication list? Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~

Its all about the bass right? No, it's not all about bass. If you read my previous post correctly I mentioned other smaller species, which are included in your list, as being affected by a shortage of forage. Look at Beaver for example, TR is a much better fishery, and I think one of the reasons is that there aren't many if any stripers in TR. IMO Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
fishingaddiction Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 tse90. Sorry for high jacking your post. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

I also wouldn't say beaver is a worse fishery than Tr. Its just different and tougher for some people to fish. I was being sarcastic to make a point but the reason no one wants stripers in TR is because of the bass fishing.
Champ188 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Can we include drum on the eradication list? Leave Donna's drummers alone.
Jerry Rapp Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 native species only? why introduce something that wasn't here to begin with? I will give Taney and TW's an exception.
5bites Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Can we include drum on the eradication list? Absolutely! Though I'll miss the line bouncing strikes after not getting a bite for two hours. It's exciting, then you realize its a drum. I actually deduct a fish for every drum I catch.
