Old plug Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Are you implying that I would catch more bass 15" and larger using a dinky little jig.
5bites Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 If it ever did it would be pure hap hazard luck. Why?
Guest Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Are you implying that I would catch more bass 15" and larger using a dinky little jig. yes, it doesn't discriminate. If you catch enough little 6" bass, eventually you will catch a 6 pounder on the little rig. Plug, you should try it. I will send you some from my personal stash just to try out.
Guest Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 As bass anglers, we have to constantly try new things as the fish become more pressured & educated. Think about crappie, you can use the same crappie jig to catch dinks as you throw to catch slab crappie. The same rule applies to bass, but it flies in the face of conventional wisdom.
Guest Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Here's a nice smallmouth that I caught last week. It's one of the bigger fish in a small stream.
Guest Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Last year, I showed up with a little rig to the boatramp. My dad asked "what are you going to catch with that little turd"? Laughing at me. I told him, you wait & see. It was a very tough post spawn day with blue bird skies & no wind. He fished a texas rigged baby brush hog the whole time. I had 17 bass & 6 goggle eyes at the end of the day. He zeroed that day. I couldn't convert him, but he respects the little turd.
