tho1mas Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 It (the tail grab method ) does not work on the kitten sized ones. I picked one up and was showing it to a girlfriend - right in the eyes. That really hurts.
Quillback Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Man, that is funny - I can't imagine picking a live skunk up by the tail.
jdmidwest Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Park Rangers get paid a ton of money to do that trick. They can buy a whole can of lemon juice to take a bath in...... "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Guest Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I think it was GreasyB who told me that a coon would dig thru piles of old meat and bones in the trash just to get to an ear of corn. That explains why this coon is over 30lbs, it's eaten at least a few hundred dollars worth of deer corn.

Wayne SW/MO Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Remember that coons don't gather food with their mouth like most wild critters and they can reach and pick something up with out a lot of body disturbance. Make it look and scratch for something. Another option is dry catfood, something they love. Scatter it loosely all over the bottom of your trap so that it has to walk around it it. Water and food in one place is very attractive to a coon. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Goggle-Eyed Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I have been anxiously waiting for an update (hopefully with photos) to your Skunk saga! Joe
fishinwrench Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I'm standing by my prediction. That critter knows his bizness !
