Or spin bait - whatever it's called.

Anyway I threw one (the Duo Realis) yesterday for a bit, thought it might be something they'd eat while they were feeding on shad. Nothing touched it, tried different retrieve speeds, depths, but no takers.

Anybody have any luck with these things?

I get bit EVERYTIME I try it, but the problem has been that many of the bites are panfish and i've lost the only couple of GOOD bites I've gotten on it. A disappointment to this point TBH.

Yes Sir! I throw it on 6 or 8 lb nano with a 6 lb leader. I've been using a fairly light spinning rod. I might need to beef it up a bit.

Points and bluff banks. BUT this was all spring long. I have not been on the lake in a few weeks.

I fished them on several outings this spring. I caught about a dozen fish on it, mostly K's. Fished it like a grub, slow rolling it close to the bottom. I haven't been fishing much lately, but check out Pete Wenners fishing report video last week. He reports it's working good in open water on bass close to the surface that won't hit a TW.

I was told it has to be fished on 6 or 4 lb line orit won't run properly.

I was fishing it on 6 # mono, and have not tried it on any other lb line.

FWIW, 8 lb Nano smaller diameter than 4 lb mono.

I had good success with one early this year and haven't ever used it since. One of those things where I'm driving home and I think about it and wish I would have tried it.
