merc1997 Bo Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 took the wife fishing again, and put in at Viola around dark. thought we would go up the kings and try it. just two shorties for all of our efforts. it did not help matters when an idiot with a wake boat, boat numbers MO 4483 FN, was skiing people up and down the lake for a couple of hours around 11 pm. i had finally had enough and chased them down to get their boat numbers and call them in. of course the water patrol is not going to do one thing even though there are two witnesses. i am pretty sure that boat is docked in one of two places as i have seen it out before doing the same thing. i feel sorry for the boat docks in the area they were running up and down because they were taking a brutal beating. they need to do that around their own dock. the dummies shut out their lights and tried to out run me when they figured out what i was doing with a light on their boat. those wake boats do not go very fast when full of water, about 20 tops. other than that, it was a pretty evening out. bo
jmes Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That's dangerous. I wish something could be done about stuff like that. At least you got a night out on the water
Members Ken Drish Posted September 2, 2014 Members Posted September 2, 2014 Wow... with two drownings on Beaver Lake yesterday, you think people would get a clue. Skiing at night... nuts.
MOBass Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 It is hard to understand would motivates people to do some of the things that I have seen or hear reported happening on the water. There is something about being on the lake that causes people to take leave of their senses. Why would someone who in their everyday life would take care not to put themselves in danger feel that it is acceptable to, among other things, operate a boat at night will pulling someone behind it. That would be like towing someone on a skateboard behind a car at night into a parking lot with no lights. It amazes me Darwin does not take more of a toll. Thankfully no one was hurt this time around. It is unfortunate that it won't be the last time something like this happens.
merc1997 Bo Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 no, it will not. i have witnessed this same boat doing the same thing before, and so have a few other people. i just decided that this time, i was going to get the boat numbers and call them in to the patrol. that boat docks right in the sweet water vicinity. the other illegal thing they do is to be running with flood lights on all the time will someone is over the side surfing. i always worry about one of them falling and get ran over because there is not one way to see them in the water. bo
Bill Babler Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 You can thank our ignorant Governor for all of this. We basically have no on water law enforcement any longer. And if you really want to see what people in the media think of him google Fox news Mo. Governor Jay Nixon. See how he feels about law enforcement and how the Fox news pundits feel about him. Dressed his Arce down on National Tv, calling him a complete idiot. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
