Quillback Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I don't see why not. Yep, I don't see any reason not to bring him. Except that if the fishing was as good as last year, he may get spoiled.
hoglaw Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 It's on the calendar. I'll be there plus boat.
Terrierman Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Thanks guys, I'll see if he can make it. He really is a good one, top 10% of his class and in school with baseball and academic scholarships. I'm sickeningly proud of him. Plus he really is a good fisherman.

That would be great Rick, look forward to meeting him! I'd also like to ask and get your thoughts on this, but as those of you know me, that I like to film. I've expanded a little bit and am helping a friend of mine that produces a local outdoor show. Would any anybody oppose of my taking some footage of our trip and maybe making a show out of it, might be good publicity for the website as well? I know some don't like to be on TV, so if a problem, no problem here. I'm here for fishing and fellowship, but think this could really be a neat show to share. Just thought i'd throw out there, got a few months to prepare and plan. Here's a couple shows I've helped with if your curious, the first show there Ham fished with me, he was great! It's a hobby for me basically, it's something I enjoy and relieves stress of my everyday job. I can bring a boat to if needed, when we get the final head count we can plan on that. Looking forward to it! http://vimeo.com/album/2944861/video/100050309 http://vimeo.com/album/2944861/video/104235810 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Ham Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 There will be no shortage of boats. I'm good running mine or rising with others. I enjoyed being a part of the show and I think it would be fun to film Jigfest. We still have a little time to think about things. One thing we could improve on is maybe cutting the fishing time just a little so that we can get the food in the evening going a little sooner. I don't remember eating breakfast or lunch either day and that might be part of why I was in a hurry for supper. One of the worst things is not being able to fish with everybody before the deal is over. It's a good problem to have I guess. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Yeah I see what your saying, the shortage of daylight that time of year plays a factor to. If the roads aren't slick like they were in spots last year we probably will get around a little faster to. That was such a great experience having the river to ourselves tho, I didn't wanna leave when we did.. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Quillback Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 If there's not 6" of snow on the ground, we might be able to sit around a campfire in the evening also.
Ham Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Oh, I'm never ready to quit fishing, but at some point I like to eat. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
grizwilson Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Woot Woot Les is in the house! Sorry, just for a day, then back on the River. Just back from Colorado, work and fishing the Elk and Yampa plus Steamboat Lake. 20 degree mornings, were nice. No long winded report, Hoppers plain and simple, some cuts on olive woolie. Rileys or Rim Shoals are great places. I will bring a boat. “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
