Gavin Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Would not call that a sucky trip. You got out, caught fish, shared a laugh two w/o screaming kiddos or wifely demands. Good stretch of river but fickle. Many trips there with low expectations.... Gotta hope for that big fish lamp to light. Does not always happen when you are there even if you know were they live. Try again!
Guest Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Don't get all bothered by the tiny minnow fry. Ignore them & keep fishing the way you always do. You might try a drop shot with a 6-8" leader & 1/4oz weight next time. They suspend a lot in September.

Try again! Agreed, my trip Friday might would qualify for a sucky trip, but in fact, there's no such thing for me. River to myself, by myself for a few hours, fishing and quiet time was nice. Big ones be there next time!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Mitch f Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 I like that jacket he's wearing. Does it come in a Mens? It took him an hour to get the Ann Taylor tag off "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
