Jerry Rapp Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 it is now officially fall. The govt weather site is forecasting about normal for this winter. http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/long_range/two_class.php I have seen a few wooly worms, and they are almost all brown(warmer than normal winter). But some of the old timers around Arcadia Valley say it is going to be a bad one based on animal activity. I did see two Blue Jays in the yard earlier today, earlier than usual. I know the Farmer's Almanac says another brutal winter. Anyone else have a prediction?
ozark trout fisher Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I always hope for a real cold, snowy one just because that tends to drive everyone else nuts. And I couldn't really care less. I'll be out there hunting and fishing regardless.....only question is how I dress.
cwc87 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I think we will have big temp swings. Fast moving little storms. Maybe a monsoon rain or two Just hope it's not quite as cold as last year. I had -27 one morning
Feathers and Fins Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Bradfords are dropping leaves already, Fish in areas 4 to 6 weeks early, Snow geese are 6 weeks early, squirrels are storing up big time, temps already very nice fall like. Farmers Almanac pretty accurate. Im saying brutal weather based on wildlife and the Farmers. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
