Let a coon pass one thru its digestive track and it comes apart easier.

Uh.

I don't have a coon, I live in subdivision in the burbs.

I have so many questions about this.

Where do you get a coon?

Do they like persimmon seeds or do you force feed them?

Do you follow it around after dinner?

If so, how long?

I think I'd rather do what Fishinwrench said and just shave it down.

Hey, to each his own.

A possum will do just as well. I can always tell what's in season to eat by the possum who insists on taking a dump right on the top step of my back deck just about every night. Depending upon the season, it can be full of everything from hackberry seeds to persimmon seeds.

Find a persimmon tree and start walking circles away from it. Look for a black pile with some red seeds poking out of it and they will be prepped for opening. Just be sure to wash your hands before you do anything else.

I predict half of us will be dead from Ebola before spring looking at the numbers from Africa. The rest will enjoy the solitude.

You know what.

I'll take a look in the wood lot behind my house.

The persimmons are huge this year.

Some as big as golf balls.

We have two persimmon trees, but the area is weedy and more often than not anything ripe is long gone. I'll just take your word for it.

I haven't seen my jaybirds, apparently they went to Jerry's. Does that mean I'll have a mild winter and he will freeze his *** off?

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
