fishinwrench Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Well I hate to be the one to scare you off the lakes but I deal with boats and boaters every single day of my life and my take is that unless the boat is still financed or the owner is guiding or fishing a circuit that requires showing proof then they are carrying a minimum of insurance coverage, if any at all. How'bout you, Brandon ?
crazy4fishin Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Mattholder are you saying innsurance because of the potential damage? Or crazy drivers?? Fishinwrench - I am afraid that you are more right than wrong - all though my full insurance on my BB is only $350 / yr full coverage or something like that C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
Members Brandon Knight Posted October 6, 2014 Members Posted October 6, 2014 yes i have insurance, I wouldn't wanna be without it! If you don't have insurance i personally feel thats just being careless and selfish! I imagine he is saying insurance is a must because of the TON of timber on that lake.
Members mattholder Posted October 6, 2014 Author Members Posted October 6, 2014 Insurance is required just like a tournament we have a regatta permit which requires insurance by all who partake! But also as Truman is a flooded forest impoundment so insurance is a must and it's at a 10 year low right now!
Members mattholder Posted October 6, 2014 Author Members Posted October 6, 2014 160 boats so far would like to see 180
Flysmallie Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I wouldn't want any other person in a boat with me unless I had insurance. Â Â
Members TTJJ Posted October 6, 2014 Members Posted October 6, 2014 I have boat, house, and auto insurance all with one insurance company. All their boat policies exclude ‘Racing and speed contests’ (bass fishing tournaments, boat racing contest, benefit crappie tournaments, etc.). Better check with your insurance agent to see what your boat policy excludes.

Minimal coverage is basically a waste of money and insufficient in most cases when it comes to bassboat use.
Sore Thumbs Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Sounds good to me Champ. Gonna have to be a big bed for us big boys. Ha. I would much rather fish. I have three 9 yr old girls staying at our house for a slumber party. Goin to Exeter to that corn maze and zombie paintball. Im gonna miss Ark. Game and part of the Royals game. Not happy.
Champ188 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Let's put this in math terms: Mom + girls = sleepover/corn maze. Thumbs + recliner = football/baseball playoffs.
