denjac Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 And let's toast the 40 fish that are swimming somewhere! Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
Members triangler Posted October 15, 2014 Members Posted October 15, 2014 Well either way one of you guys have incorrect info. Either they were released or they are quarantined. I think Champ was confused, just like me, because your are always banging the BPS drum. This is why a lot of people have ZERO respect for Webb. If by "a lot of people" you mean the few individuals on this forum that have driven away most of the guides and posters that used to frequent it by posting comments like this, then you should rethink your count. That's not a lot of people. Mike Webb has done as much if not more for fishing in SW Missouri than any other individual, his character is beyond reproach. Mike has reached out to me and mentioned that these posts have effected him and his family greatly. He has lived in SW Missouri his entire life and feels that these attacks aimed at CPA are direct attacks at him. Mike also mentioned he will spare no expense to defend his name and his integrity. The individuals on this site that have chosen to defame him and others as well as the organizations they represent should be cautious, this is not the coffee gang at the bait shop. Make sure you know your facts before you post. The information on this website can be seen by all and is being monitored.
balsabee Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I'm certain Mr. Webb is a standup guy but I would like to know what happened to the fish as well. Why not come on here and answer the question? Since it's being monitored and all.

Champ188 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I know for certain that I have not once brought up anyone's name. No one. Nor have I attacked anyone's character. At the beginning of this current post, I stated some facts about tournament participation with payout figures that came directly from the CPA website. Other than that, I stated that I remain bothered by the fact that bass were taken from Table Rock Lake a month ago with no indication that they would be returned -- and no word about those fish from tournament organizers since then. I have the transparency to include my name at the bottom of all of my posts on this forum. I don't see that from most others.
Flysmallie Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Talk about having your panties in a wad. Whatever dude. If he was loosing any sleep over it he could tell these guys what happened. Truthfully I don't care. But it's not right for someone to receive special privileges just because of their connections. If that's the kind of person that you want to grow up to be then more power to ya. Â Â
Jerry Rapp Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 what am I missing here? A 30 second response from CPA(or BPS) would resolve all this. By the lack of silence of a response I am assuming the 40 fish are in a BPS tank or someone's pond.
balsabee Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Maybe a table rock bass restocking program needs to be taken on by johnny himself. For every bass he puts in his tank it's replaced with a couple thousand fingerlings. Why use the MDC and Missouri taxpayer $ ? I'm stll peeved about the long creek public use deal with no voter approval.
Champ188 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I'm for that, balsabee. Of course, Johnny seems to like for his investments to take a more direct route back to his pocket.
balsabee Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Oh and while I'm at it Big Cedar was an absolutely beautiful place and tremendous location to fish "before" johnny ever arrived. Currently not so much....
