Thieves suck. Our RV shed got broken into yesterday in the wee hours and they took upwards of $10k of stuff. We have insurance, but it looks like our rates will go up because of it. What a farce. You pay insurance for years and years and then they punish you when you get robbed.

I know this is kinda off subject. But what kinda money did they want for the boat slip at kimbering in. I stayed there right after the new owner took over. He want 30 bucks a night. Kinda steep I think.

Yep. Had a theft from our garage three years ago of about 8K and our rates skyrocketed. As I mentioned I have a pending lawsuit for a vehicle accident with an uninsured motorist that resulted in almost 300K in medical bills and eventually forced me to retire from my job. Pretty sure once that's settled they're gonna cancel us anyway so not sure how to proceed until I can investigate further.

Maybe this is a sign that it's time to simplify things.

Being a past tornado victim I know how it feels to loose ALL my gear, boats, rods, EVERYTHING.... not just the lures.

When it came time to start rebuilding my fishing stuff I decided 3/4 of the stuff I had was unnecessary, and actually caused more anxiety than it did complacency.

I am happier and more confident now with my fishing than I ever was before.

Sometimes a "total system reset" is just what a guy needs.

Wow. That lends some perspective I guess huh? Sorry to hear about that and glad you've recovered to at least some level of satisfaction. I'm sure you're right. Lots of stuff in there that hasn't been wet in quite some time. Nonetheless, limited funds will necessitate a significant downsizing so I'll know soon enuff I guess! Thanks.

Yep. Still $30. Downright nuts if you ask me. The unit we're in doesn't allow for trailer parking anywhere nearby so we bit the bullet this time. $30 per nite and no security, no running water and no cleaning facilities. Likely our last time at this place. Only reason we come here is that I get a great rate through a military broker due to my prior military affiliation. No longer worth it though.

I know. My time share is through there. We booked a week and was told we got a slip with room. When we arrived they told me it had changed and it would cost 30 a night. There was hell raise. Needless to say I paid nothing, but I will never stay there again.

Thanks Champ. You've actually suggested this place to me before. We just keep falling for the military deal since it's $369 for an entire week. Needless to say not a bargain this week. Thanks though. Will give serious consideration come spring!
