mixermarkb Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I'm gonna be on Bull tomorrow. I'd sure like to run into a whole bunch of strippers... The wife might get pretty mad if I come home with glitter on me..
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I fished from barker to the dam last week. Trolled flicker shads and worm harnesses. 1 short walleye on a flicker. Threw a squarebill around te rocks by the darn and caught a couple largemouth. 1 keeper.
powerdive Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Did a night session at Gillis and Barker last week, looking for walleye. Only got one short, plus three bass up to 16". Suspending stick baits on the bluffs. Sure seems tougher than it used to be....

Members Luke918 Posted October 26, 2014 Members Posted October 26, 2014 Past few trips have ran into a lot of Kentucky's just down from K-Dock area. They were schooled up and feeding on top. Caught a two or three on a popper, none on a zara spook, none on a swimming shad on shaky head (although they were feeding on shad), none on shad colored crankbait. Dropshotted through the shad on bottom and caught Kentucky's up to 17" (most were 14 & 15") and a 4 largemouth up between 16 & 18" on the dropshot. Did catch 2 big white bass on Zara spook outside of one of the short creek channels below Kdock area and a Striper (17") thought it was a hybrid white/striper and even put it in the livewell -- but catching striper in virginia beach for years it just looked to familiar. Check the pics and description in the regs and back in the lake it went. Guess they have stocked some more in the lake--??-- anyone know that they did?
powerdive Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 bass on a suspender at night? Interesting. As many bass as there are in these lakes, it would be more interesting if you DIDN'T catch any that way.

navery Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 MDC had begun stocking stripers as of 2 summers ago. Looking forward to them in the next couple of years.
