Duck Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Took my bride for a boat ride to see the colors thinking the dumb as---- would be off the water, WRONG, when will boaters learn to drive on the right side of the channel? My bride says it it the " my boat is bigger than yours so I can do what I want" attitude. I had to almost come to a stop 3 times for these guys, when I threw up my arms in discuss 2 gave me the finger. Its getting worst not better. OK I vented, what a beautiful weekend. Take care, Duck.
Quillback Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Should be the last hurrah for the nitwits, colder weather is coming.
Rodmaker Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Obviously they never took a boater saftey class......maybe a obliviois class. Morons abound. Glad you had fun though Duck.
jolicious Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 We were running back from Cow Creek to Moonshine around 12:30 (picked up Miss Sherry and lil bit for a couple hours of family fun) and had to run the middle of the channel three different times because there were pleasure boats on each side coming at me LOL! You are right in both counts: 1. Still some ffks out there in need of a boater's course 2. Sure was a beautiful weekend
Jerry Rapp Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 they have their right to water also. Public water.
jolicious Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 they have their right to water also. Public water. Oh yes sir, you bet. It would be great if we could all get together and agree which side we'll be on when moving a certain direction though
Jerry Rapp Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Oh yes sir, you bet. It would be great if we could all get together and agree which side we'll be on when moving a certain direction though seriously, if this issue went to a court of Public Opinion, how do you think it would turn out?
jolicious Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I'm guessing most of the public wouldn't care since they don't drive boats. I can still wish that folks would drive on the right (like we do on the roads) when out on the main lake. I think it would be safer.
abkeenan Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 they have their right to water also. Public water. Crap disturber extraordinaire.
mixermarkb Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 The rules of the road exist for a reason. No one is disputing anyone's right to be on the water, just their right to be ignorant of how to drive their toys. I do miss the year round water patrol officers.
