Regardless of your social or political beliefs, I believe almost everyone would agree that this week started poorly. Rather than discuss that (and I really don't want to see that happen here), may I suggest a collective change of focus.

This is the perfect time for each of us to say out loud to our friends and family how thankful we are to live as we do in a country that allows us to live as we do. Gather with your family and friends, feast, and spread a positive outlook on your life with others. It really is contagious, you know.

My week started off GREAT! I got to go waterfowl hunting with member on this board. That night my wife and I enjoyed a dinner of Cornish Game Hen. Yesterday was not so good, Had to suffer through pictures of certain member on here who found stripers on Beaver and a few friends who found some waterfowl (They were torturing me knowing I was home prepping for the arrival of family) lol. Today is so far so good, great breakfast and even better coffee. I may go chase striper or waterfowl this afternoon. Tomorrow is a day I look forward to all year I am hunting in the morning and then resting in the PM and Friday the family arrives in for Thanksgiving. Yes ours is Friday but thanksgiving is when you can be with them.

All in all I would say pretty good week.

No gunfights over here in the Free State! For that I'm thankful! :D

I spent last night hauling gear into the garage, sorting through tackle and getting my cold weather cloths organized. I get to eat two great meals with two great families tomorrow then three days on the river. I'm thankful, life is good.

Amen Rps, thankful we are for so much. Thankful for friends and enemies on here. Hopeful for a good south zone starting tomorrow. Also hoping to rub more of a good season to that feathers and fins fellow.

Yep, plenty to be happy about here. Finished a painting that had to be done and got it shipped off on Monday. Had our annual check-up at the doctor's office on Monday, and got the results of all the tests yesterday and everything looks really good. I'm pretty much healthy as a horse. Kinda knew it because I played basketball, full court with a bunch of teenagers and 20-somethings Sunday night and kept up with them.

Mary did all the prep work today for our big Thanksgiving meal, with her three sisters and their families here at the house. House is more or less clean and ready. I sorted out a bunch of fishing stuff before supper, and I'm set for hair jigs and such for a while. Hoping to get in a trip sometime between Friday and Sunday, and hoping for some decent weather so that I can go next week as well. Sure is nice to be able to go whenever the urge strikes...I can't imagine having to work at a real 9 to 5 job!

I haven't even been keeping up with the news and politics lately...burying my head in the sand reduces my blood pressure considerably.
