Freezing here in Aurora

Recommended Posts

It is 88 degrees where I'm at and the fishing has been good, will send photos someday. We are going on a 3 day kayak/camping/marine life thing, it should be good, the weather has been nice, rains once in awhile. You guys stay in and tie flies if the roads get nasty, those trout will make it a day or so with out you ;) Becarful and don't get out unless you have to. I hate Ice storms the last one cost me over 400 in tree clean up alone. Oh and we sold our house in monett, missouri, we are looking for one around the clever, republic area, need one about 1700 sq and with a basement if possible, and my wife wants it to be less than 4 years old or new. If you know of one give me a PM. Thanks.

freezing rain all night here on Springfield. I've already had a tree branch fall through a section of my fence, and have lost two large branches in the front yard. Just hoping that the fence is the only thing to get hit tonight.

Be careful. I sure how you guys had a little advance warning. When I get up that way, I'll need to have some pre winter prep tieme to get ready for days w/o power and or no way to re-supply.

Water, food, fuel, etc.

Ok, it's pretty much a diasaster zone down here in Neosho. Lost power last night around 8:00 or so and just got it back on about the same time this morning. I don't have a single tree still intact in my yard. ALL of them have broken limbs along with the pine tree in the back yard. A lot of old trees around here and you could hear them all last night breaking. I am hoping we will continue to have electricity through tomorrow, but I fear for the worse because of the latest weather forecast I just saw. Man do I have my work cut out for me later in the week clearing down limbs. I feel real sorry for my next door neighbor. The tree in my front yard took down her power lines into the street. The same tree we tried to get the power company to trim back in the spring. Go figure. I might try and post a pic later.

Lucky so far here in Harrison. About 35 degrees and no rain at the moment. We shall see what the day and night holds for us. The rain will be a welcome relief though. Dano

Like a normal, rainy winter day here... 32 and light rain, no wind, great fishing weather (for trout anyway).

Don't know what tomorrow will bring though. We may get hit too. But because of the terrain between here and Springfield, alot of the weather stops at the break-line. It did last night.

We are about half full. Had a couple of cancelations but for the most part- a good weekend for us in January. The resort has a generator that powers the whole place if it does get bad. I'm wondering how much diesel we have in the tank though.

45 and heavy rain here in the NE Arkansas flatlands. No ice or snow expected, but they weather service is saying we may get a 25-50 year flood on the White River from Buffalo City down. This will be good for our water table to say the least. Hope you guys further north and west come out OK. I'm hoping we make it through the winter here without having to break out the generator.
