This weekend was great for me. Best trip I have had in a while. Saturday I caught 13, 7 were keepers. I caught them all swimming a grub along side a bluff wall at 36 foot of water. Or on a main lake point. (Same depth) There had to be wood nearby. I let the jig hit the bottom and would swim it out "super" slow.

Sunday I started off with the grub again. I was using salt and pepper until I ran out. Then I used cotton candy. Pretty much doing the same as the day before. I only swam the grub for about an hour. Still had luck with it. Having not fished with the ned rig, but hearing but good about it, I switched to it. Wow! Using 1/10th Oz head with a watermelon red senko. I would let it hit bottom anywhere from 18 feet to 46 feet deep. Then just work it back to the boat. Most bites happened when it hit bottom initially. If not, it happened after the first twitch or so. Sunday I caught about 20ish. As hard as it is to believe "every one" I caught was a keeper on Sunday. The largest was a beautiful smallie 'tipping the sale at 4.05lbs. All of my fishing was near the dam. I fished about 4-5 hours each day. I'm not bragging just boasting. Lol. It doesn't happen like this for me very often. Since it did, I had to talk about it. Good luck guys!

Yep. It does that at times. Makes it hard to put the little booger down.

Very nice day. Seems like rather than the bait you were using, you were on fish. When that happens and they are willing to eat on multiple presentations like that it is very special. Thanks so much for the report. I bet that Jaw was just beautiful this time of the year coming out of that cold crisp water.

Thanks for the post and continued success.

Fisherman, had a good talk with you and Jeff after the tournament. As for my day, luckily the 3 I boated were keepers I fished the rig all day fishing channel swings and points inside of the channels at the mouths of pockets in the big creek arms. Until 1:15, I was getting a couple of bites an hour. Unfortunately, when the fish would bite and load up on it they would have the teaser bait and when I would set the hook I would have a bait missing. Very, frustrating but thats fishing, may have figured something out for a little bit unless the weather decides to stay warm. Catch you next time.

Fished Sunday from 7-4:30 out of Baxter. Caught 8 with 5 keepers, primarily coming on a jerk bait. Fished a lot of different areas with nothing to show for it. Pulled up to a point back in a creek and caught 5 in short order in less than 10fow. Tried to duplicate this, but no luck. Tough day for me...guess I should have plied the depths.
