96 CHAMP Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 what would you guys recommend as a good redfin rod?? whether it is used for that purpose only or as a dual use rod. I am looking at team lews medium bait 7' medium power mf action or new lews custom speed stick for topwater 6'8 medium power fast action. thanks
Guest Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Is there some podcast or somewhere I can view that Redfin action? Bill, Im pretty sure you can pay for extra footage, behind the scenes type stuff too. Its pay to play tho, the $49 fee seems kinda steep but it depends on how bad you want to see it. MLF Selects were filmed in Oklahoma last May. Tenkiller is the lake I fish primarily, so its good to see all that footage.
Guest Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Might check your on demand channels, if you have them. It was one of the select rounds. They replay them fairly often on the outdoor channel. Otherwise I think you would need to subscribe to MLFs web coverage. Starting to think it might be worth it. They did a "lessons" show, basically a long, on the water version of the old pro's pointers segment. Pretty good stuff. I watched the lessons footage last night. Scott Suggs box of jerkbaits was real nice. These guys really have things dialed in.
Members single spin Posted February 15, 2015 Members Posted February 15, 2015 MLF extendend cast for their entire library and 1 year long subscription to bass quest magazine $29.94 one Tournament event $15.94 one episode $3.94 or you can watch on for free on outdoor chanel...any way that you choose ITS AWESOME!
Guest Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I was a little off on the price. What are you actually getting that's different from the show?

That's a heavy bait and it can overpower a rod that is too whippy. At that point, you lose both accuracy and distance. I throw mine on a Duckett Micro Magic 7-0 Med Hvy/Fast Action (NOT extra fast, too stiff in the tip). I'd highly recommend it and it won't break the bank ($159 at Tackle Warehouse). Model number is DFMP70MH–C. Disclaimer: I am NOT sponsored by Duckett Fishing or any rod/reel manufacturer, for that matter. Quillback and 96 CHAMP 2
huntest Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Champ If you keep that up Tackle Warehouse will send you more than a bumper sticker and Duckett will be sending you a jersey. ...LOL Champ188 1

The TV shows are a condensed version of what is on the web. You get a lot more content with the web versions but you have to pay for it.
