We just had shepard's pie. Made with beef and not lamb. No photos my son didn't leave much just a couple of empty pans☺!

I believe that, I have seen that boy. Mine at that age could not be filled.

I love shepherd's pie and I've never had it with lamb. Wouldn't want to take the chance of messing up a good thing.

Lamb or more likely mutton is the traditional meat in an Irish shepards pie. Too expensive to use those ingredients here. I guess that technically our dish should be called a cottage pie since no lambs left the shepards flock.

                Well ,

Shoot Dove and eat dove. I sliced off the breast sides and the Mrs. sandwiched a couple jalapeno slices between the sides and wrapped in bacon. Did not have to toothpick the bacon on as we just packed the grill basket and this secured everything together. The charcoal was hot and a foil pack of chunked seasoned potatoes were already cooking on the gas grill,

So we ended up with boneless grilled dove. Made up some blue cheese dip and raw veggies too for anther side.

Dang good ain't they?  We also had some appetizers consisting of half  a jalapeno with seeds removed and filled with a blob of cream creese.  Add a handfull of btown sugar, wrap in bacon and grill.  Awesome poppers.
