I know it's weird but all those death by chocolate things just make me want a green popsicle or a glass of iced tea. They are just way too much for my delicate palate.

WMFN5624.JPG Suuuuure Rick!.. Delicate "my @rse".... Would the bacon, or Molasses, and /or onion fall into the delicate category???? Hmmmm? :whisper:

Had a taste for seafood so we did some scallops and shrimp. Scallops in butter, shrimp in butter and garlic. Sweet taters and a salad with ranch.

Yummy BUT you know I am a cast iron snob. What in the world is that Skillet you have put those beans in? Could you of defiled those beans with a Chinese skillet? I hope not. Turn that thing over so I can see the bottom! I am getting a little concerned here.

Not death by chocolate though.  Maybe death by savory goodness.

Definately no mayo! I think its another food group, she won't touch it with a 10' foot pole.

Not sure what constitutes a "depression" cake.  I would guess it has something to do with access to ingredients during the depression era.  The frosting was more of a glaze.

I'll just call it delicious.

My wife makes a version we found as wacky cake. It uses oil and not butter. Makes a very light and tasty cake. We just sprinkle powdered sugar on top and call it good.
