BilletHead Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Squirrel salad on sourdough skillet toast or sourdough Texas toast or whatever you want to call it . All I know it is a tasty vehicle to carry the lettuce and squirrel salad. MOPanfisher Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Well I went to the dark side the other day and bought an Instant Pot for my wife, yeah for my wife, and a rack h of st. Louis style ribs. I had my doubts but they sure came out good, pretty tender but still with a little chew, slathered some sauce on them and put them on the grill to set the sauce, very tasty. Now I am thinking about putting some squirrels in it to pressure cook, just need some squirrels I guess. Way back kin the old days we used to make likes in a big old stone jar on the back porch, I remember lots of garlic, dill and grape leaves, the jar would develop a s,ummy stuff on top and we would always start stealing them from the jar before they were completely ready, salty, vinegary, etc. We also to a turn at making some turnip kraut one year, shredded turnips etc. Wow talk about something that would roll your eyes back.in your head, but dad and I ate it, of course we like pickled pigs feet too so our tastes may not be somehing to trust, also remember pickling the green , cherry tomatoes, loved them but they may have had more "smack" than the turnip kraut.
Fish24/7 Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 After resting 30 minutes it soaked up the juices like a sponge . Pulled it, and added a little Sweet Baby Ray's sauce. 😋 snagged in outlet 3, rps, Johnsfolly and 2 others 5

Other than braising and canning big tough squirrels I use the instant pot. A cycle through it. Then coat and a quick fry to crisp them up. Sauce of your choice. Its like eating hot wings IMO. ness Posted July 1, 2020 Author Posted July 1, 2020 I’ve posted this before but here’s EZ Shepherd’s Pie. EZ is important to this workin’ stiff. Ground beef, frozen veggies, Pioneer brown gravy, deli mashed potatoes. Guinness and rosemary in the gravy. Potatoes doctored with some cream and sour cream. Darn tasty. EZ. Then you gotta drink what’s in it. BilletHead, Johnsfolly and MOPanfisher 3 John
