MOPanfisher Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I don't like soggy bread either, I am careful to drain as much liquid from the slaw as I can first, and then make sure it goes on top of the meat, however it seems to always get a little soggy, but I usually eat like a starving coyote pup anyway so it seldom has much chance to get soggy. And I don't like toasted sammich buns, the closest I can handle are some out of a Panini press, and they just seem to be chewy instead of toasted. If anything gets toasted it will be me.
Flysmallie Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 It's not just the sogginess of the bun. I don't like things oozing out when I bite down like Chief does. But I'm the guy that orders a burger with pickles and tomatoes just to remove them to eat on the side. A BLT should also have the T on the side.
ness Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 I bet it smells good at my house right now. John
Chief Grey Bear Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Actually I keep the slaw and dressing seperate. This will maximize freshness and crispness. I put the slaw on and then drizzle on the desired amount of dressing. I also do a pulled pork wrap with slaw. Holy cow good! I know it is the chicken in the crock pot because I read back and did not miss anything.. Maybe you should give me a set of keys so I could come up and check on things? I am going to have a BLT and I hope my home grown tomatoes are so juicy the juice runs onto my chin. Just cooked a pound of bacon outside. I promise to leave some slices for Pat when she gets home from her long hard day of work, BilletHead Chief Grey Bear and Johnsfolly 2 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
