I worked at a junior high school track meet today. I supervised the high jump. Much irony in that.

When I got home the lovely wife had prepped a stir fry.

Thai style peanut sauce pork.

I love a good stir fry, I don't do it well but like my version too.  I have never developed a liking for cashew chicken though.  Tonight I had last night 2 walleye fillets coated with the required butter, lemon, and garlic and a dose of season salt and old bay and some crushed baby dill that is coming up everywhere I my cold frame among my spinach.   Wrapped up the small batch of fresh aparagus in a foil pouch and put it on the grill first.   Thought it would be a neat plan to eat walleye then go walleye fishing.  Apparently they didn't appreciate my plan, only a few white bass to show for the effort.  Supper was still tasty.

Anybody know how to make the brown sauce that's in a lot of Chinese dishes? Beef and broccoli always has it. Not sweet or sour or sticky, but savory. It may have some soy sauce in it, but that's not the predominant flavor.

Ness try HyVee Beijing chicken. We have tried to duplicate that sauce. If you could do that in your experiments let me know.  Do lunch there today :) .
