Johnsfolly Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 BH - Started the water works with your last post. Must be a Pavlovian response. Was that a bell or in this case a screaming drag or single shot. Meals look great as always. I need to get out and gather some "groceries" . To think that JestersHK and I let all of our fish go Sat. night. I admit that I did not want to clean fish at 2 am. Now I regret not bring home a few of those friends fro dinner. BilletHead 1

Now I regret not bring home a few of those friends fro dinner. You and I both know John that we both let the majority of our catches go. We all seem to fish in stages or mature in stages in our fishing lives. Some people get stuck in one stage while others even skip stages. When beginning as a first time fisherman it was man I just want to catch one fish! Then it was wouldn't it be nice to catch a limit. That soon changed as I got better to catch a limit of the target species and have that possession limit in the freezer. Then back to catch a limit once and awhile. I soon matured to it is the process of how I try to catch that fish and how much I enjoy that. Eat some off and on and be satisfied. I for one would rather catch a four inch native Columbia river redband rainbow trout in the far North West Montana that anything. Just like you do a rare species of minnow in it's natural environment. I say do it if it trips your trigger but don't belittle those who do what they like. I see this so much nowadays. Would I clean the fish you and Jesters caught that time of the morning? Big no way! I like my sleep! Oh by the way buddy, How many minnows does it take to make a one person meal? I see on naked and afraid it only takes a few . Keeping this food related we had frozen chocolate peanut butter cup pie for dessert , BilletHead Johnsfolly 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" MOPanfisher Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Tonight is all about re-purposing and cheating. Took some leftover smoked chicken from this weekend and pulled the meat off and rough chopped it up, warmed it in a skillet then added my old family recipe for Alfredo sauce. Turns out my old family is lazy so the sauce came from a jar, but I did add some extra garlic. Sliced the remaining g half loaf of Italian bred, added butter, garlic powder and some cheese to microwave into quickie cheesey garlic bread. Jar or not that smoked chicken Alfredo is smelling wonderful. Will have it over some linguini noodles that I boiled myself. rps, BilletHead, ness and 1 other 4

However I have also caught some 6 to 7 inch creek chubs that would only take a couple for a meal. 18 minutes ago, BilletHead said: Keeping this food related we had frozen chocolate peanut butter cup pie for dessert Now that is just being mean spirited.
