Gavin Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Breaking in the new Weber with some steaks and lobster tails. Pushed the old one to the curb an hour ago and it's already gone. BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and rps 3
Gavin Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Will have to try some of those potatoe salad recipes. Our standard is pretty good and a no brainier. 5lbs or red potatoes 3/4 in cubes. Boil till done, then toss in an ice bath until cool and drain. Add a pound of cooked bacon and a bunch or two of green onions all diced. Dress with ranch from a bottle, Cajun season to taste. The big one has the wobbly legs that just insert into the sockets. Like the updated ones with snap pins. I know the lids are dusty but if I washed them they would not cook the same , BilletHead Gavin 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Based the rest of the meal after deciding the salad. Grilled chicken thighs. Actually the most flavorful part of the chicken is the thighs in our opinion. So the completed salad, Then the chicken getting really happy and as I was watching it I got happy, , Plated up and of course the fart part consisted of good old pork and beans . Some BilletHead BBQ sauce for dipping. A long neck to wash it all down, Then there was a pre wash of a deep stock pot by Sadie and she was in it to her ears, Everybody came away from this meal satisfied. Right now there is a batch of lemon rosemary shortbread cookies getting ready to come out of the oven. The BilletHead is so spoiled . Happy Fathers day guys, BilletHead Love German tato salad! I make it more in the cooler months when I make more fried chicken. I sorta cheat when I make mine. I make a package of Good Seasons Italian dressing. I use a 1/3 cup AC vinegar and add bacon drippings. I add chopped bacon and green onions to the potatos and mix all together. Short, sweet and tasty!! I scored some Ken's the other day and wow! I think it may be the perfect German flavor! Yeah I know it's odd using Italian dressing for German flavor, but it works! They are easy to feed just letting them have some charcoal. if they behave and don't talk back I will treat them with some split hickory for a change . If they get fired up and if they get too hot I can quickly get them under control again squashing potential problems. All in all good behaving kids , BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" rps Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 I cannot match cute kids. Won't even try. Had some left over roast chicken. Also had some farmers market greens and radishes. Cherry tomatoes, green onions, and a bit of cucumber added to those. In went a few pieces of cheese. Slathered it in homemade peppercorn dressing and tossed it all. BilletHead 1
Gavin Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Fail tonight. Pork chops stuffed with Spinach Artichoke dip. Might try something hotter and denser next time. Thinking a slice of pepper jack and a charred poblano peppers. BilletHead and rps 2
