fishinwrench
Popcorn failure. Happens. Reminds me of my ONE attempt at homemade pork rinds. That smell soaks into the furniture. Not good.
ness
Popcorn failure. Happens. That smell makes me sick. I would have to get a motel room after that. John
Chief Grey Bear
I did some shrimp yesterday myself. Nobody in my house will eat them so I had all of these to myself! Chief Grey Bear
I was hoping nobody would ask. I don't remember the exact name. The wife and I were at one of those Dollar stores that morning. Which is a story in itself. Not the store but how we ended up there. Anywho, I always love hitting these stores as they will always have some off the wall food item that you don't normally find. I happen to spy a package of McCormick marinade. It was some kinda Smokey Chipotle grilled seafood marinade. It came complete with warning to not marinade for longer than 30min. Odd?? So I didnt. Well I did. I went about 33 minutes! Take that! It was pretty good. I would try it again. I will by bigger shrimp next time though. Like a 20 count. Between the food at the assisted care unit where Nancy's mother resides and the restaurant (See my review in the Eateries forum) from last night, I am ready to cook my own. The only culinary high point was a lunch stop at a place called the Beach Plum on Highway 1. They had a killer fried clams basket with great fries. I've got the day off, so made a tasty b-fast. Poached egg on buttered toast. BilletHead and Chief Grey Bear 2 John
