BilletHead Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 It all sounds good fellows but where are the pictures?, I will make up for the missing photos. Beef and Bok Choy stir fry today. I like Bok Choy, raw or grilled but this was a first in a stir fry. Heated up a bit of peanut oil and added shopped shallots, ginger and a thinly sliced serrano pepper. Stirred until fragrant, Added in the thinly sliced beef for more stirring approx. Three minutes, In goes thick slices of Bok Choy stems, Stirring up another three and then slivers of the tops, Cook these down still stirring and then add sauce/ thickening of Beef Broth and corn starch stirring until thickened a bit, Bowl up and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro if you choose and eat pretty healthy, Says it will serve two to three. I can tell you we ate the whole wok worth . Next time it will be made with Canada goose or venison. ness Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 Not much in the way of real, from scratch, home cooking this week. Jarred sauces can be a good starting place. Penne with Prego dressed up with some good olive oil, Parmesan and parsley. Shrimp with a sweet chile sauce over rice. Tonight thawed out the leftover Beef and Guinness stew and served it over some champ potatoes (thanks for the info Mr. Folly). Made a bunch of taters so ness 2.3 could take some home, but he’s on serving 3 and I don’t think there will be any anything left. BilletHead and Johnsfolly 2 John

rps Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Because of obligations I kept a strip steak at 130 for five hours in a sous vide. When i seared it I wound up with a medium rare close to medium, but juicy. The potato also went in the bath and then was finished in the high heat oven.
