I had a package of 4 Johnsonville Brat patties so I decided to try a version of scotch eggs.  Rolled them out enough to wrap around boiled eggs and then bakedthem, not bad but not something I would lily do again.

I didn't take any pictures, but I made some good ol' slop-slop-sloppy Joes for me and one of the nesslings. A simple, old family recipe with ground beef, ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. If I was making it for myself I'd dial back the brown sugar, but I'm not messing with Aunt Lori's recipe when my babies are eating it.

Roma Bakery here in town makes a good hamburger bun. I don't know how available they are outside the KC metro area, but it you see them they're worth a shot.

You need to write a family cookbook.    Grandma Mildred, Grandma Vi and now Aunt Lori.  Then there is your brother the BBQ champ :) ,

Hah! I’ve been thinking the same thing. I’ve got a bunch of my recipes too. I’ve got them all organized and digitized. Baby brother won’t share anything—I don’t even ask anymore.

I wish it had avocado! Around here ripe avocados disappear before I get to the market. Eureka Springs sits at the end of the food delivery chain. We rarely see prime produce until the farmers market opens in the Spring. Even that does not help with avocados. Dang, now I am hungry for guacamole.

I feel your pain RPS, I think the market here is well past the end of the delivery chain.  Occasionally though they will get some avacados that are dead ripe and discount them because people won't buy them that way.  I peel and eat the with a touch of the Paul Deen seasoning mix.  I love avacados and artichoke hearts too.
