I though about mentioning that in my original post. I am aware of that but since the LEWS brand was bought out just a handful of years ago (after a hiatus from producing rods or reels) by the current owner it's safe to assume they started from square one on the rod and reel building. Don't know that for sure but just my assumption. How's that you smart alecked Razorback?

Bwwhhhaaaaa!! You guys are right ... there's likely no connection to today's rods and the ones of back in the 70s and 80s. I did get to meet the Childre sons (Casey and Craig) back in the late 1980s when I was outdoor editor of the Pensacola News Journal. Got invited to a dove shoot over at their place in Foley, Ala. Very fun day and lots and lots of birds.

Always gotta mess with abk when the opportunity avails itself. I'll try to go easy on you about the upcoming basketball game, though. By gosh, I believe that's Wednesday night. :)

You two can rest easy about that one. Everyone will be watching Duke-Carolina.

No one wants to watch a bunch of white guys with a big-nosed Pollock for a coach.

Buahahahahaahaha.

Anyone that has the stomach to watch Missouri basketball had better take at least an extra dose of Prilosec otc.

This program has fallen to depths that really are going to need years to repair. I say this of course with a very heavy heart.

WE have gone from a No 1 ranked team and a 2nd. seeded tournament team as little as 4 yrs. ago to probably the worst team in the University History.

Missouri basketball is in a total dumpster.

Look out for our softball gals and our wrestlers as they are some of the best in the business.

By the way, when does Spring Football start. Seems we are pretty good at that.

Not soon enough, for two reasons ... 1. There is no bad football, even spring practice. High schools in Alabama-Florida-Georgia will fill 20,000-seat stadiiums for a spring jamboree. I saw it several times in person during my 3 years in Pensacola. And people up here wonder why very few of our local recruits can compete with the Deep South kids. 2. When the pads start popping in the spring, the fish are biting.

You MO fans should just put on a red t-shirt and come on down and root for the Hogs. We even cleared the snow off the roads for you. Should be clear sailing to Fayetteville.

That's what happens when within a 15 year period you have two coaches that are shady individuals (Quinn Snyder and Frank Haith with underhanded dealings and all sorts of NCAA infractions) and one coach (Mike Anderson) that gave MIZZOU Basketball little time to find a decent replacement (ended up being Haith) when he left for those people that praise an animal that wallows around in mud and it's own filth :=D: . Haith is the one that really set back the program though because his recruiting was terrible other than being able to get junior college or disgruntled transfers from other schools. That's nice to be able to pick up guys like that from time to time but you can't build a program like that and it is more or less just a patch work or band aid. I guess you have to hit (Table) Rock bottom before you are able to gather yourself up and forge ahead.....but man...my Tigers sure are a LONGGGGG way from seeing the top again. Kim Anderson sure has tough road to hoe that's for sure.

I shared this with a Missouri basketball fan a while back but did not get a reply.....funny......more than a little profane...but funny

Hahaha. I love those stupid Hitler spoofs. They never get old to me. Surprised I've never seen that one before and it was 100% accurate in every way about MU Basketball.

"It's OK, Gretel. Who could resist that hair?" CLASSIC! lol.
